The Halkirk Community Hall is available to rent for a variety of functions. It features a spacious well equipped kitchen, a dining area and a large dance floor. The Hall is well maintained, and rent is reasonable. Seating capacity is 250 people. The community playground is right next door, and the Berry Street Campsite is just out back. The hall is operated by the Halkirk Hall Association. The Hall Association holds public Bingo held every 2 weeks at the Hall. Contact Doris Cordel @ 403-884-2253 |
The Halkirk ELKS is a volunteer service organization. They support many local and regional programs. The ELKS major social and fundraising events include:

101 Main Street
The Senior Centre is operated by its own society. The Centre’s original historic building was the Royal Bank building. A hall for floor curling has been added. The Senior Centre provides a meeting place for actitivies such as Bingo, floor curling, meetings and pot luck suppers. For more information, contact Jacquie at 403-884-2565. |

The playground has a large central play structure, and a new spinning top play equipment. Swings and fitness equipment are also on-site. Teeter-totters and small play pieces and benches complete the park. The gazebo and picnic tables were recently upgraded. |
110 Berry Street
Located adjacent to the Community Hall and playground, the Berry Street Campground has 8 fully serviced stalls for self-contained RV units. Self Registration. |
302 Main Street
Located on the north end of the Village, this area includes a large shed available to rent for family gatherings, etc. Washrooms and a concession building are on site. Halkirk Elks Rodeo Grounds are also located here. There is a large grassed area for camping, with picnic tables and fire pits provided. There are no services, but water and a trailer dump are available near the main entrance. Self Registration. For information on these facilities, contact the Village Office at 403-884-2464. |
